Sid Garcia is an American journalist, anchor, and general assignment reporter. He currently serves at ABC 7 Eyewitness News since joining in 1997. Additionally has also served as the Eyewitness News Orange County Bureau Chief. Recently, he reported on human remains which were found inside a dumpster at the Camarillo apartment complex. Also reported on the procession for an LAPD officer who died after a catastrophic training exercise accident at LAPD’s Elysian Park Academy.
The officer, known as Houston Tipping, is a five-year veteran of the force who served as a bike instructor in the Devonshire area. Furthermore, Sid began his broadcasting career in 1983 at KBAK in Bakersfield as an anchor and reporter. Four years later, he went to WCN in Chicago and later came back to Los Angeles in 1994 to report and anchor at KFWB news radio.
