In 2014, he put out a rap mixtape called Watch Me that had songs he did with Craig Mabbitt, Deuce, Tyler Carter, Jacoby Shaddix, and Danny Worsnop.

Later, he met Max Green (of the band Almost Heroes), and the two of them founded the group True Story.
