Furthermore, Paris is a two-time place winner of the OBEA Multimedia Journalist and Radio Host, and made it her mission to become a well-rounded journalist and a mentor to underclassmen. Rain became a member of The National Council of Negro Women and worked at LU as a public Relations Specialist.
Additionally, she reported on the one-year anniversary of the Hope Testing Clinic’s harm-reduction vending machine in September 2023 and provided coverage on the 110 graduation of the Academy Class at the Tulsa Fire Department. She served as a radio host for the campus station KALU 89.3 FM and was the managing editor, staff writer, and photographer for the Gazette campus newspaper.
Since joining the station, she plans to not only be a representative for the younger generation but help tell the stories of Tulsa communities and the underrepresented as well.
