Mike Munro is an Australian journalist, television presenter, author, and anchor who currently serves at Network Ten since joining in January 2014 as a presenter of Ten Eyewitness News Weekend. He began his journalism career as a senior reporter in the Channel 10 newsroom in 1982. Later joined the Nine Network and Mike Willesee on the Willesee current affairs program. Furthermore, Munro became a reporter and later the host of A Current Affair, and in 1996.
Moreover, he was the reporter at the center of the infamous Paxton family exposure. He is synonymous with the biographical show This is Your Life, which he hosted from 1995 until 2005 and then again in 2008 and he replaced Georgie Gardner in National Nine News Afternoon Edition.
In 2006, he resigned from National Nine News Afternoon but continued to present Sydney’s National Nine News weekend news where he remained until 2008. Additionally, Mike hosted the television series Missing Persons Unit and What a Year, alongside Megan Gale, which aired on the Nine Network in October 2006.
Later, he resigned from the Nine Network after 22 years on October 26, 2008.
