Mark Preston is an American journalist, correspondent, senior political analyst, and vice president of Political & Special Events Programming at CNN where he joined in 1999. He provides political analysis for CNN, CNN International, and CNN.com and regularly appears on CNN’s major news analysis shows such as New Day, Erin Burnett OutFront, Anderson Cooper 360°, and many more.
Furthermore, he was formerly CNN’s Political Director, a post subsequently taken by David Chalian in 2014 and he joined the network as political editor. Mark has received a number of prestigious honors, including Emmys in 2006 and 2012 for the network’s award-winning election night coverage.
