Marc Thiessen is an American conservative author, Fox News contributor, weekly columnist for The Washington Post, and political appointee. Thiessen once served as a speechwriter from 2004 to 2009 for the United States President George W. Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, Secretary of Defense from 2001 to 2006.

Additionally, he published the book Courting Disaster: “How Barack Obama Is Inviting the Next Attack” and “How the C.I.A. Kept America Safe” which defended the use of torture during the George W.
