Previously, John anchored the business news for CNBC’s The Money Wheel from 1989 to 1991 and later joined CBS News as a correspondent where his reporting focused on personal finance and business issues appearing on CBS This Morning.
His broadcasting career began at WJET-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan, followed by WOTV (now WOOD-TV), WISH-TV in Indianapolis, and KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally, Stehr received an Emmy for his coverage of Senator Richard Lugar’s efforts to implement the Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, which aims to eliminate nuclear weapons in the United States and Russia.
