John Dickerson is an American journalist, reporter, host, author, anchor, and correspondent. He currently serves at CBS News as an anchor of CBS News Prime Time with John Dickerson which airs live weekly on Mondays through Thursdays at 7 PM ET. Furthermore, he is the network’s chief political analyst, senior national correspondent, and contributor to CBS Sunday Morning. Also serves as an anchor for CBS News Election Coverage and political Special Reports.
Furthermore, John joined CBS News in April 2009 as an analyst and contributor and was the moderator of “Face The Nation” from June 2015 to January 2018. Dickerson moderated CBS News’ two presidential debates during the 2016 presidential campaign and served as the co-host of CBS This Morning from January 2018 to May 2019. In addition, he has interviewed a wide range of figures, from Apple CEO Tim Cook to actors Glenda Jackson and Christian Bale, authors Colson Whitehead, Michael Lewis, and Tara Westover.
John appeared each Wednesday on The Al Franken Show on Air America Radio, until the show ended in 2007, and was also a regular guest on NPR’s Day to Day. He appears on PBS’s Washington Week and the Slate Political Gabfest, a weekly podcast with David Plotz and Emily Bazelon and is also a host of Whistlestop, a Slate podcast about presidential history.
