Jennifer Syme was an American actress, record company executive, and personal assistant. She landed a job at Lynch’s Company, Asymmetrical Productions, where she started as an intern and ended up working for five years. Syme introduced Lynch to many of the musicians he used in his projects, and according to Coffey, she had a huge influence on the music in the 1997 movie “Lost Highway”.
Further, Jennifer was in her five independent short films, “Ellie Parker”, the last one, appeared at the Sundance Film Festival in 2001 January. Moreover, she also served as Dave Navarro (guitarist )of Jane’s Addiction’s personal assistant and later, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Moreover, she made her film debut in a small role credited as “junkie girl” in David Lynch’s Lost Highway, and also she had a small role credited as “casting chick” in the film Ellie Parker of Scott Coffey, ( 2005). Prior to her death (2001), Syme had registered at UCLA to pursue a film-supervision course. In addition to that, she was also serving as a record company executive.

Jennifer died on 2nd April 2001 after attending a party at the home of Marilyn Manson and while she was driving to her home in her Jeep Grand Cherokee she drove into a row of parked cars on Cahuenga Boulevard in Los Angeles. Sadly, she died on the spot before getting into the hospital. Further, Syme was buried at Westwood Memorial Park, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, the USA next to her daughter. Dave Navarro, Keanu Reeves, Scott Coffey, Scott Ian, and David Lynch acted as pallbearers at her funeral, who was eulogized to the sounds of Barbra Streisand’s “Higher Ground”.
