He joined CBS News in March 2019 and has covered major international stories which have earned him some of journalism’s top honors, including an Emmy and Peabody Awards.
Furthermore, Lee has reported extensively across the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia where he earned the Investigative Reporter and Editor’s Tom Renner Award. Before joining CBS News, Ian served at CNN as a correspondent based in Jerusalem where he covered Egypt’s uprising and subsequent 2013 coup.
