Diane Sawyer is an American journalist, reporter, anchor, and TV broadcast journalist known for anchoring crucial programs on two networks including ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, 20/20, and Primetime newsmagazine while at ABC News. Previously, Diane served at CBS News where she hosted CBS Morning and was the first woman correspondent on 60 Minutes in 1984 and joined the station in 1978. Before her journalism career, she served as a member of the White House staff and assisted U.S. President Richard Nixon in his post-presidency memoirs.
Currently, Sawyer works for ABC News producing documentaries and interviews specials and she was a recipient of America’s Junior Miss scholarship pageant in 1963 while in high school.
