Chris Dittmar is an Australian sports commentator, presenter, and host who currently serves as a co-host at the Triple M drive shift with former Adelaide Crows Captain Mark Ricciuto which is available on Apple Podcasts. He was formerly the World’s No.1 ranked men’s squash player. Also widely considered to be the “best player never to have won” one of squash’s two biggest titles. Furthermore, Dittmar finished runner-up at the World Open five times in 1983, 1987, 1990, and 1992 and was runner-up at the British Open twice in 1985 and 1993.
He provided probably the most consistent challenge of any player to the dominance of Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan during the 1980s and in all seven of the World Open and British Open finals he played in, he lost one of the two khans. Additionally, Dittmar won several titles, including three Australian Opens, three Canadian Opens, and two South African Opens.
He served as Patron of Squash Australia from 2002 to 2005 and was inducted into the Squash Australia Hall of Fame in 2005. Since retiring, he has served as a sports commentator for Channel Seven and also served for Adelaide radio stations FIVEaa and Triple M and has also been an Australian rules football commentator for both stations.
