Andy Katz is a college basketball analyst for the Big Ten Network and a reporter for the NCAA. Previous to that, he worked for ESPN.com as a senior college basketball writer and, beginning in 2000, for ESPN as a regular sports analyst for College GameNight. He worked as a sports reporter for The Fresno Bee (1995–1999), the Albuquerque Journal (1990–1959), and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (1989–1990) before joining ESPN. On April 26, 2017, ESPN let go of over 100 staff.
After leaving ESPN, Katz was a color commentator for the Paradise Jam Tournament held in Lynchburg, VA and he is currently serving as a college basketball studio analyst for the Big Ten Network (BTN).
