Abbie joined the early crew in September 2017 after having always wanted to be a part of FOX21’s morning team. Abbie had previously worked for FOX21 News in a number of capacities, including intern, editor, news producer, reporter, and evening anchor. She even spent a few months trying out the weather! Abbie Burke Colorado Springs
Although Abbie moved away twice to work for journalistic organizations in Louisville, Kentucky, and Providence, Rhode Island, the mountains have always been her home. Since 2008, she has made Colorado Springs her home.
During some of the worst moments in our community’s history, including the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest Fires and the horrific tragedy at Planned Parenthood, she has been a reliable source of information.
The Colorado Broadcasters Association and the Colorado Associated Press Broadcasters Association have recognized Abbie with prizes for her reporting and producing.
