Melody Horrill is an Australian-English journalist, former TV presenter, anchor, media manager, and author of a memoir ‘A Dolphin Called Jack’ which details how she discovered trust and love through an appreciation of nature. The interaction with the dolphin helped her move past childhood and youth dominated by domestic violence and she is also currently a passionate advocate for the dolphins of the Port River.
Furthermore, Melody began her journalism career in 1995 on a Channel 10 wine show before moving to Whyalla for a reporting gig with Central Television and then becoming a freelance journalist at ABC-TV in Adelaide. She later served as the environmental reporter at Nine before joining Ten Network and reported for the local and national news, and also produced a number of environmental documentaries focusing on South Australian environmental issues.
