Sara Groen is an Australian actress, journalist, anchor, reporter, and weather presenter who joined Seven News Melbourne as a fill-in weather presenter in 2002. She appeared in an episode of The Lost World in 2001, followed by an episode in Farscape a year later, and later got a part as co-presenter on the weekend children’s program, Saturday Disney. Additionally, Groen played a major part in the Australian short film, The Scree, co-starring with Paul McDermott, and later joined the Beyond Tomorrow team in 2006.
Furthermore, she has been reporting on meteorology and environmental issues for Seven News at 6 PM since January 2007 and regularly fills in to present the Seven Late News. In 2004, she joined the popular travel and lifestyle program as a reporter while continuing to complete her studies and her reporting role on the science and technology series Beyond Tomorrow followed in 2006.
Sara served extensively internationally for the show, spending large periods of time reporting in the USA, Canada, and Brazil. In addition, she was also a contestant in Series 3 of “It Takes Two” and was voted off at the end of week 6. In October 2010, Sara announced that she would be departing from the Seven Network to move to Melbourne.
